A tree job is not booked when it has a date. It is booked when it has a crew that is not on holiday, the right equipment, a forecast that will not shut it down, and someone who knows about the gate code and the overhead lines. Arb Astra keeps those together on the job.
Crews and equipment on every job
Each scheduled job carries its crew and its equipment, assigned from the people and machines you have set up. Moving a job on the drag-and-drop calendar moves all of it together.
Time-off requests are made by crew members from their own login and approved by the office, so the schedule reflects who is actually available. A live map shows open jobs and where the crews are.
Weather on the schedule
The day's conditions show alongside the schedule, so a wind or rain day is visible when you plan it rather than when the crew is already on the road.
What the crew sees
Crew members log in to their own view of the day:
- Today's jobs and their addresses.
- Hazard notes for each site: access, dogs, power lines, anything the estimator flagged.
- A pre-job tailboard checklist before work starts, and a close-out checklist at the end.
- Clock in and out on each job.
From hours to job cost
Because the crew clocks in and out against the job, Arb Astra can work out the actual labour hours and labour cost of each job and compare it with what was invoiced. That job-costing report exports to CSV, alongside payroll hours.
Questions
Do crew members need their own login?
Each crew member can have their own login with a crew role, which shows them their jobs and lets them clock in and request time off without seeing the office side of the business.
Does it run on the crew's phones?
Yes. It runs in the phone's browser and can be installed to the home screen, so there is nothing to download from an app store.
