Tree inventory and PHC
A record of every tree, not just every customer
The customer changes their mind about the oak. The tree does not change its history. Arb Astra keeps a record of each tree on each property, so the assessment, the treatment and the removal quote all point at the same tree.
Per-tree inventory
Each tree is recorded against its property with species and common name, DBH, height, condition, a photo and its GPS position, and appears on the property's map. The whole history of work on that tree stays attached to it.
Risk assessments
Assessments are recorded against the tree: the target, the likelihood of failure and of impact, the consequences, the resulting risk rating and the arborist's recommendations, with who assessed it and when.
Plant health care records
Every PHC application is logged with the product, its registration number, the rate, the method, the target pest, who applied it and when. That is the record you need when a customer, or a regulator, asks what went on a tree.
Recurring work
Maintenance plans hold recurring services for a customer's property with their frequency and next due date, so annual pruning and seasonal treatments come back round without relying on memory.
Questions
Can I import an existing tree inventory?
Yes. The CSV importer accepts trees and PHC treatment records alongside customers and properties.
Is this only for residential work?
No. Organisations can be set up as a municipality, with departments, and use the same tree inventory for urban forestry work.
