Where ArboStar is ahead today
ArboStar has native iOS and Android apps in the stores, integrated payments and a QuickBooks sync listed on every plan, and its plans include data migration, setup and training. It also has years in the market and an Enterprise tier for multi-branch operations. If store apps, integrated card payments or a live accounting sync are must-haves today, ArboStar has them and Arb Astra does not yet.
Where Arb Astra is different
Estimating is spoken. The estimator describes the job out loud and Arb Astra fills in the customer, the address, the services and the line items, then presents it on the tree company's own branded paper for signature. If the driveway has no signal, the quote is saved and sent when it does.
Leads come in from everywhere into one pipeline: a website request form, forwarded lead emails, Facebook and Instagram lead ads through a webhook, and phone or walk-in entries. Each records its source, and the reports show speed to lead and cost per lead, per job and return on ad spend by source. That is the part built by a marketing agency for tree companies, and it is the part most tree software leaves to someone else.
Switching from ArboStar
Export your data from ArboStar as CSV and Arb Astra's importer maps the columns onto its own fields, covering customers, properties, jobs, estimates, invoices, trees, PHC records, equipment and crew. Jobs and invoices are linked back to the right customer by email, then by name, so re-importing does not create duplicates.
Which to choose
Choose ArboStar if you need store apps, integrated payments and an accounting sync now, or run several branches. Try Arb Astra if your estimators lose time typing quotes, if you want marketing leads and their results in the same system as the work, and if a month of full access is the easiest way to find out.
